State consent besides waiting afew months might not get approval due to valuation by state govt might be below magic number $1m myr. However, if buyer willing pay eg: 5% deposit not refundable if unable obtain State Consent still might be a viable option. Juz my 2cents.

It is because I'm not sure whether a foreigner can get 'State Consent' or not. I've already received 2 offers of RM1mil from foreigners but I'd rather not take the 'risk'. (i.e. wait for many months only to be informed that the foreign buyer's 'State Consent' is rejected.
I am new to Johor property.. Still don't understand why a foreigner won't get 'State Consent' if he is paying the minimum RM1 million??
It's possible state might value the property a whisker below $1m myr & dun grant the approval even if buyer willing pay $1m.
This is bad policy.. If the property market in JB go into a slump for a few year, a lot of people will not be able to sell!!
