i've been preparing for the long-overdue hayward fault for the past 16 years, after loma prieta. that's a given. i've a 4-person tent ready to go up in the backyard, 8 gallons of water at all times on standby, a water distiller, 2 spare tanks of propane gas, 1 propane outdoor bbq grill and cooker, 8 canisters of butane, 2 butane cookers, an inflatable bed, one pump, a gasoline generator, solar lights, torchlights, batteries, canned food for 16 days, sealed emergency food for 32 days, 1 bicycle to get around, and all the necessary tools from the garage and garden tools from the shed.
i stay in sg too, and it's sinkies' complacency that i'm worried about. sinkies are never prepared because they're lulled into a false sense of safety until shit hits the fan. kpkb is what i expect when things go awry.
