TJS and group to form new party

TJS contested on the Singapore Democratic Party platform in national elections in 2011 and also the presidential elections in the same year. He has announced he intends to organize and register a new political party, and compete for the next general election.


60-year-old financial adviser Tan Jee Say will hold a Sunday morning press conference to announce a new political party name, emblem. He would not disclose further details when interviewed on Friday, but said, including himself, there are a total of 11 people. (This reporter: Michael Mann)

Some hearsay which some or all may all be wrong.

1. Name is called Singaporeans First Party or something.

2. No GMS not involved.

3. The group consists of Ang YG, a former SAF colonel, some former civil servants and possibly ex WP Eric Tan.

4. Emblem is a heart (?)
 
All the existing turfs are already reserved by the existing parties, it is interesting to see who's turfs the new party is going in.

Most are Rafflesians?

If so, I do believe they would have a call within themselves to serve........

Unlike money-eyed ACSians, many older Bras Basah Rafflesians were brought up to think of their country first..........

If GMS is in, he is likely to propose challenging the WP. He is opposition afterall. Oppose everyone except self.

This is the logo he selected for his PE campaign. If this is true, then it going to be another party build based on personality cult. TJS centric party. Not a positive development.
