actually in this present age and present technology, if im an employer i would like my employee to finish the present day's worksload leave the office on the DOT. cos any over time would definitely add to the company cost (air-con, pc, photocopier etc).

as for mc, i dun care he max out his benefit but so long as he can put results on my table. (eg. he can max out his yearly S$1000 med claim as long he can bring in S$100000 sales).

It's the end result thats counts, not the process.

It's ok to have a positive attitude towards the future.

However, this advice is pretty irresponsible given the current economic climate.

People shouldn't quit their jobs so easily because this is the worst economic downturn we have seen in a century.

Of course, it's not so easy to stay on in a shitty job but sometimes, we have to think of bread and butter issues.

and if you keep praying to idols or allah, and sitting around all day and doing nothing...money won't come down from the sky....best is to move your butt and do something about it...

Exactly. Being selfish is when you have a family to feed but you quit your job in times like this because you cannot stand your boss.

If your boss has decided to fire you, it is probably after all other measures were exhausted. He had probably come to the conclusion that it is not worth keeping you. As such, no amount of begging is going to do any good. It's best for you to avoid a situation like this, but if you were to end up in this situation, too bad. That job is probably not meant to be. Just start looking for another job and see where you've gone wrong and don't repeat your mistake.
