2. There is no documented cases as to what happens when a person renew his Singapore passport and answer 'yes' to the question if he holds citizenship of another country. There is a lot of hearsay in the forums that it is not a problem but is that really the case? Proof? Scanned copies of some sort to show it is not a problem? So far, no one has provided 'proof' so people are not willing to risk that. Chances is Singapore will ask you to renounce either one of the citizenship when you answer 'yes' to the 'citizenship of another country' question.
dual citizenship is for people who got balls..
you want it, then show ur balls first.
Due to selfish and self-preservation reasons, it may be difficult to find people coming fwd and admit they have been given a renewal while holding another passport. Because they already have got it, why tempt fate by making it public?
On the other hand, it may be easier to hear from those who got rejected for a renewed passport or asked to surrender one of them. We also have not heard such cases.
As I have said, I met mothers in flesh and blood, who had no reservations whatsoever to reveal to me. The key thing here is not to lie and also to be sure the people affected are free of NS obligations.
................be sure not to make any false declaration on your application form when renewing pp, if asked whether you are holding another pp or citizenship.
A certain Minister for Muslim Affairs has a son with American citizenship..
there is a way to keep dual citizenship and while their kids will not serve any pathetic sinkie NS..i salute these people and well done..keep it up!!
I have directly heard from Singaporean mothers who said their Singaporean children are holding two passports.
Good info. If Malaysians are allowed to hold dual citizenships in Singapore. Most likely they will vote out both UMNO and PAP. do you agree?

As has been said in all such threads and posts, be sure not to make any false declaration on your application form when renewing pp, if asked whether you are holding another pp or citizenship.
I know quite a few Singaporeans with 2 passports.
A word of advice: if you hold 2 passports, use your Singapore passport when you enter leave Singapore Immigration.
Disagree. You're better off declaring that you don't hold another passport.
Children are allowed to have more than one passport without being asked to choose.

I agree with you to use the Singapore pp when entering or leaving S'pore, but if you make a false declaration, they can catch you on the technicality. Renewing yr pp despite you declaring you have another is a discretionary process, so dont give them excuse to deny you one.
If you declare truthfully and they renew yr pp, you have walked away free of encumberances and hassle. The next renewal may be easier.
If you dont, you will always enter and leave with a Damocles sword over yr head. If caught you can get convicted, whereas possessing a second pp is not criminalised.
If they want to catch you on that technicality, they'll have to first check with the embassies of more than a hundred nations to find out if you have a 2nd pp. Doable, but an utter waste of manpower and taxpayers' money.
b. Don't declare and they'll have to do an exhaustive search to make sure you don't have a 2nd pp, and then ask you to renounce if they do discover a 2nd pp.
Option (b) makes more sense because your chances of getting caught are so much lower. Just don't brag about your 2nd pp to all and sundry.

It's like bringing a durian into the MRT. It is not an criminal offence, altho they will ask you and escort you to leave the station or train and remove it if you are found.
