OMG ! Another death !!!

SINGAPORE: A police officer was found with a gunshot wound to his head at Bukit Timah Neighbourhood Police Centre (NPC) Saturday morning.

23-year-old Sergeant Sandeep Singh had reported for duty at about 7am on Saturday in preparation for his morning shift duties and drew his service revolver from the armoury.

At about 7.40am, Sergeant Sandeep was found with a gunshot wound to his head in the toilet of the NPC. His service revolver was found beside him.


He was pronounced dead at Alexandra Hospital at 8.29am.

Police have classified the case as unnatural death and are investigating.


No foul play is suspected.


Sergeant Sandeep joined the Singapore Police Force last year and has been working at the NPC since 2 January 2013.

Probably depression and family/money issues.

That area seems to have a macabre history when it comes to suicide inside toilets..

Around 13 years ago at the old World Trade Centre now known as Harbour Front Centre, an off duty CNB Cina Sgt blew his brains out in a toilet there.. The cause of his suicide? A failed relationship with a Minah nurse..

I was just thinking. If the Singapore public is allowed to own firearms, there would be more suicides for sure. Putting a bullet in one's head is an instant death, the best type of death. One second you are here, the next, poof!.....you're somewhere else. No need to feel the horrible sensation of plunging from great heights, or the painful process of asphyxiation or drowning.
