Cold Storage Orchard Road has special memory for me, I still can see the lay out of the place, as I walk into the door..still fresh in my memory..& so was Fiizpatrick's...there was a stall selling lovely, yummy, prawn noodle soup in the wet market, right side of Cold Storage.

Did your grandma tried to feed you with this?

Glucolin still around these days...drank them till secondary school...when taking part in sports. Grandma use to feed, waterbury compund, Woodward's gripwater & Sanatogen, to make you grow, strong & healthy...& the one I hated most...Scotts emulsion's...the 'white poison'...yucks!!

We grew up on these... and we fed them to our children, even though we knew it contained alcohol... but works wonders esp if your kid has colic......grandma was right....

And then there was the Wayang show...... not that you were keen on that unintelligible Teochew opera, or that your grandma was keen, but...... its the ice cream man.....and the food....

Tay Koh Yat bus?.... not sure because I only use Green Bus and STC....

No bro Force 136, that is the Hock Lee Bus Company vehicle. Tay Koh Yat were similarly painted but in red and black.

Just look at the Ice Cold menthol cigarettes advert on it's rear.

The Chinese lady in her traditional wear. She looks so lovely in the dress.

Those good old days.

Thanks for the nostalgic moments.
