A New Singapore Act?

Read the underlined leggy.

At the times where my pictures were taken, there was no pregnant lady nor injured old man, just old folks who appeared weak to me and I do not have the guts to ask whether they could last the journey standing on their feet.

sinkies have no guts.... it is their nature...

Sorry I don't have the qualities you have.

If I have a colleague I dislike, I know what to do next time. Just snap a picture of him resting with his eyes close on a train seat next time and accused him of not giving seat to some needy to shame him.

There's no such thing as a needy person who needs a seat.

An office worker who worked OT and is pooped out may also need the seat.

An NS boy who is exhausted after booking out from camp may also need the seat.

A person who truly needs to sit down would be sitting on a wheelchair anyway.

Everyone else can stand on their two legs: including the elderly and pregnant women.

Pregnant women? The aged?

First, how can we be sure if they are Singaporeans? They could be new immigrants, tourists, PR holders, Malaysian temp workers. Why must Singaporeans always take the blame for bad public behaviors? I am a typical "Sinkie" but I never rush for empty seats on buses or MRT be it reserved ones or not.

Second, why do we have to argue about this in the first place? We should blame the PAP's population policy for causing the congestion! If there are only 3.5 million people there will always be enough seats for everyone who are tired.

Third, for those who blame picture-taker for being "coward", make sure you act what you preach next time. Good luck to you as you can encounter such unpleasant public acts almost everyday in Singapore. Are you going to intervene every time?
