When a needy passenger appeared, they went into deep sleep

not new. well documented here on sbf. ssss: sinkie sudden sleep syndrome.

Despite the stellar academic achievements, sky-high GDP, affluence and modernity in her infrastructure, Peesai's kids have despicable social behaviour. One wonders whether such behaviour is taught by Peesai's world-class education system or culturally passed down from parent to offspring via local culture. Or both.

Cheers!

People have the guts to take pictures and post them online but are to scared to wake those fellows ask them to vacate the seat. What's so difficult?

Wow..wooww...wooowww....advance so fast....now can also moderate photographers and seats in MRT.
Sam, you have a good catch.....for free!

Wrong, people who only took pictures and post online instead of approaching these actors and actresses have no guts.

There's no such thing as a needy person who needs a seat.

An office worker who worked OT and is pooped out may also need the seat.

An NS boy who is exhausted after booking out from camp may also need the seat.

A person who truly needs to sit down would be sitting on a wheelchair anyway.

Everyone else can stand on their two legs: including the elderly and pregnant women.

The reason is simple. They won't want these group of people to fall and injure, die or miscarriage in the carriage. Business will be affected. ;)

Ya maybe, i would imagine though that the handicapped, pregnant, elderly and those with infants would be more needy then the fellows on the photographs.

The sign is there but it is up to people's decision to follow it.

there is nothing wrong if they do not wish to follow it. Those old farts can sit in the middle of the row seat.

I post these pictures here to illustrate whether it is a new trend in Singapore among the youngs
Nowhere did I mentioned the rights of seat occupation. Like someone here pointed out rightly, there is no such thing as a needy person who deserved a seat. In fact it is very subjective as to who is more deserving, a 8-month pregnant woman or an old man with injured leg on clutches. I would rather leave the decision to the seat occupier to decide who is more deserving for his seat. I would not let my guts roll into action on such trivial matter. Selfish as I may be seen but don't blame me, we are living in a society where money is the forefront of every issue in your life and with a notion of you die it's your own business. To cut it short, I usually mind my own business in public unless life threatening. At the times where my pictures were taken, there was no pregnant lady nor injured old man, just old folks who appeared weak to me and I do not have the guts to ask whether they could last the journey standing on their feet.
Now, if I challenge you to a fight over the remarks of yours is obviously not a gutsy thing to prove either.
I do respect your guts in volunteering for a job nobody wants in this forum.....but .....you must understand one thing, to be assigned as mod is an honor but to volunteer for free, in Hokkien it is sar kar also known as kaypoh.
Incidentally, your tail is quite befitting between your legs.

I'm not blaming you. My comments are based on these pictures which in my opinion show healthy young individuals. There should be no question about who needs that seat more. So why did nobody ask them to vacate it? No issue if done in a polite way.

Vacate for who? No pregnant lady no Ah Pek on crutches are you suggesting everybody should have an extra leg like yours?
