is it possible to buy a HDB BTO at SGD$595,000.00 and later sell it at SGD$1,000,000.00?

me cannot imagine a new BTO can cost this much... :eek:

Ask yourself what type of life you want la. If you have a car and don't mind driving, then you can stay in some lousy $300k punggol flat.

If you want near uni, near mrt and near shopping mall, you need to pay for this convenience. Just look at Clementi BTO a few months ago. 10 years later you think cannot fetch $800k?

Construction costs and willing buyer for China made shirt are two different issues

Cost of constructing HDB is utilising public fund for public housing which is meant for Singaporeans.
Selling to rich foreigners who are here to be new citizens and can afford the highest bids which Singaporeans can't, is not good governance....it's plain greed at the expense of the original citizens who have drudged and slogged for the past 5 decades without a hint of reciprocal respect.
Of course, the gahmen will claim that this is market price. That's not the point...what's important is, who is responsible for the policy that causes the market price to spiral. The same goes with the COE. This is dirty economists at their best with no conscience or regards to the plight of the original citizens who have been loyal, obedient and been taking bitter pills every time their plans or policies jerked out.
Sorry bro, I may sound hard and loud. This is to what the fucking gahmen is doing....to get more money at all costs and it is very sickening that they have deviated from the basic duty of a government to a money sucking monster.
