this may seem like a regurgitation of an old recurring topic, but me would like to draw some attention to these folks once more.

this phenomenon was first noted in the late 90s, it began with these tissue aunties or old uncles standing or sitting around the bus interchange and/or MRT entrances and exits. not sure where they drew ideas from, me can still vividly recall that song by that auntie in the wheelchair, singing: "one dollar, one dollar, tissue only one dollar"

time went by and it seemed that these tissue aunties and uncles were driven into taking a more aggressive mode by moving into the hawker centres and kopitiams, moving from tables to tables, asking folks to buy their tissues. these folks looked in their 70s and 80s, so it could well mean that these folks probably hit their retirement age in the late 80s thru' 90s.

looking at the garment they wore, it looked old but were washed. when these folks go around asking people to buy their tissue, did they do this to pass time? or did they do this to earn a living? if it was for the former, me can still let it pass, but if it was for the latter, then what caused this?

where are their children? what happened to their savings?

Their children have been screwed so badly by pappies that they don't even have any money. Savings?? Hahaha. Savings all gave to the ungrateful children who in turn, send their elderly folks to Old Folks Home if they can afford it. Those cannot afford it, just bo chap and close two eyes to let their elderly folks sell tissue paper lor.

Jokes aside. if anyone can afford it, it's just 1 or 2 dollar, whether they real or not. Won't hurt you much. If not real, just take it as buy 4D kena eat lor.

Ask the aunty/uncle - " who you vote for ar?"

If she/he reply : "PAP"

Your reply : " then let PAP feed you lor!"

If she reply: " opposition" ..... then you give $2, or $1 if they did not vote.....
