Why are PAP members from MPs to PM involved in so many dancing and hiphopping obviously spending hundreds of manpower and thousands of manhours to be choreographed and rehearsed, with pictures and videos splashed all over media and internet regularly? Shouldn't they be statesmenlike? Shouldn't they dignify their public bearing and profiling? Have you seen statesmen of other countries doing that? Only in occasional community festivities out of courtesy for a couple of minutes, unchoreographed and unrehearsed, then return to their GOH seats to watch the performance with courtesy and dignity intact.

If you want to show sincerity or score political points, be like PRC PM Wen Jiabao who visited disaster areas and helped rescue people with his sleeves rolled up to elbows and his pants rolled up to knees in m&d and muddy water. A good opportunity was heavensent to Lui Tuck Yew during the height of flash floods one to two years ago. There were cars trapped in a flooded lane in his neighbourhood along his path. You know how shit like that happened? Somebody came out with the parody lyrics and presented for LSS. LSS said OK he liked it. A few rehearsals later, everybody clapped and said very good for who dared to say it was shit? So there you had it, the great LSS concert.
