That will cause a mini civil war and genocide charges will be laid on the Singapore govt.
Moreover, firearms are used to keep Singaporeans obedient, something that is lost on the foreigners because they are not stakeholders in Singapore.
Warning shots? where were they? First rule of mob control? the mob were ignited when the ambulance cannot save the injured worker. the idea of them attacking staff who were trying to save their friend is ridiculous. Staff must have fucked it up. They only turned on them after that. Running away emboldened the mob, who were not even against them in the first place
One thing is for sure after this incident - SOP to be amended!
Warning shots are allowed. Just that the cowards are ball-less. Has anyone ever cleared a full scale mob without a shot fired? And they celebrate that as if it were a good thing
The police should be ashamed of themselves for screwing up. No warning shot. No tear gas.
To prevent the situation escalating out of control. Firing into the crowd even with non-lethal weapons would have provoked them even more.
They emboldened the mob when they ran. The mob ignited when the staff could not retrieve their friend from under the bus. They were not attacking the police or the ambulance when they arrived. If even the police ran, then that area became officially lawless.
It will always be a SINgaporean at fault...the 55 year old drivers started it all...he knocked down a precious FT & gave cause for the rest to riot, the whole incident, was a honest mistake, it happened only once in a 100 years..the last time something like this happended, the British line them up & shot them at SEPOY LINE.... ha ha ha ha
Let us move on, let us form a committee to look into this & improve on it & still collect 1.1 months bonus, after passing GO!

If they did, the whole fiasco would turn into a major catastrophe with more fatalities , injuries and damages.
Kudos to the police and security forces. They clearned a mammoth mob of 4000 people without firing a shot!

Why do you expect the police to use their firearms? Shooting at people who throw stones is surely not the right way to respond. It will only cause the situation to escalate and result in dead people instead of just injuries. Is that really what you want???
