Years ago while my Uncle and his Harley Davidson Kakis were on their way back to Spore from KL, a Mercedes flanked by Johore police escorts stopped them by the roadside near the Lido beach.. It was the late Johore King who was inside the car.. He came out and had a chat with this Sinkie Harley group.. He was a lover of Harleys and also a collector of many Harley models..
The S'pore group shook his hands with few of the Malays in the riding group kissing his hands as a form of a Malay traditional respect.. Too bad that time no camera phones were around that time, so my Uncle was unable to take any pictures of that meeting..
The late Sultan then summoned 2 of his police escorts to accompany the Harley group to the checkpoint.. My Uncle said it was a smooth journey thru out with ho hassles encountered with the JB Customs..
