At the back of Supreme House is Penang Rd, used to be an illegal racing ground after midnight.

I still got the Penang road sign, yanked out from the concrete wall at the end of the slopes going up to fort canning.
It's was one of the few street signs affixed at reachable height

Holy fuck what year was that?

Globetrotters might not play competitive nba style b-ball but they are entertaining to watch.

I won front row ticket to watch them in SINgapore, way back then, from the Sunday radio program, talk of the pops or was it cosdell etc..never mind...these were expensive ones, on the day of the exhitbition match, I came down with a bad flu...awww!!:p

Cathay cinema if you walk towards Bras Brasah where Rendevous hotel is now and where the original nasi Padang was....there was the row of shophouses that sells 2nd books....if you know the shopkeeper well you can rent or buy porn magazines.....Johnny 2 thumb tattoo parlour was there too.

Opposite where SMU is now....used to be a park where they have a beer garden.

aiyah! you picha lobang lah!..all the school boys in the vicinity know the shop(s)....those days no internet...those B&W pictures & those porn mags, books etc..were saucy...where do you think we get our sex education from??

Yes, correct....good memory bro. Metro Supreme.....after metro moved out they got the roller disco at the basement for awhile........magnet for gangsters.

Silver Spoon is on the left hand side of supreme house, first floor & Maxim was at the basement, Metro store occupied many floors, & I bought my first cheap calculator there that lasted me years, Mongolian BBQ was on which floor, I had forgotten. Oppositie Supreme House, was some buildings that I had forgotten the name, owned by a Jew, as you tuen round the corner at Penang Rd..you see the sign RCA & Foster's ( was it) steakhouse was in that building complex, if anyone could remember the Indian temple too?, during Thaipusam...Orchard Rd etc..gets clog up!

I grabbed all these for an ex girlfriend of mine who got a fetish of collecting such stuff.......if i knew many years later they would be selling the old signs online i wouldn't have bothered

Those blinker lights at road works were her favourite.....the holy grail were the 'sirens'....not so often seen put up but have to steal those with the big car batteries....other easy targets included the shopping centers toilet signs etc
