Kicked off the morning with a long hike with HRH Prince William at the TreeTop Walk at the Central Catchment Nature Reserve.
It was a good chance to chat about our shared global challenge of climate change, and how we can all do our part to strengthen sustainability efforts. For Singapore, places like the nature reserve not only serve as our central water catchment area, but also help further our vision as a City in Nature.
Glad to also have met several young Singaporeans who are passionate about the environment. Kudos to the NParks' Youth Stewards for Nature programme, for giving them the support to participate in biodiversity conservation efforts and more.

We have clear goals to make Singapore a more inclusive place — like strengthening support services for those with are differently abled, and making our physical environment and spaces more accessible for them.
But the community and other sectors also play an important role to recognise and celebrate our differently abled friends.
That's why I was happy to support the North East Community Development Council’s Shaping Hearts programme, which has launched its Northeast Arts Award to bring the joy of arts to the differently abled, and is rolling out a new $9 million fund to help residents with greater needs to cope with the cost of living.

We continue to improve our living environment, and make Singapore a better home for all. This means building on our unique strengths such as our culture, heritage, and history, as well as our rich biodiversity and city in nature — everything that Bird Paradise is about.
We have more to look forward to in the coming years — the complete integration of five wildlife parks in Mandai, including Bird Paradise, Night Safari, River Wonders, Singapore Zoo and the upcoming Rainforest Park

Received many useful inputs and ideas from the International Advisory Council of Singapore Economic Development Board - EDB, which convened recently to take stock of the changes in the global environment and the implications for Singapore.
We had rich discussions on Singapore’s competitiveness amidst more active industrial policies by other countries, as well as the opportunities in new areas like AI. The insights from these global corporate leaders help us chart a course for Singapore's economic strategy in this new era.

It’s the first-of-its-kind robotics smart factory for electric vehicle assembly and also an innovative urban hub. Was happy to open the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS) — which marks a new chapter for the company in Singapore

HMGICS also brings together a closer collaboration between industry experts, researchers, and businesses. This exchange of ideas and knowledge sparks new innovations and solutions.
Congratulations to Hyundai Motors on this milestone, and I'm confident that it will propel Singapore further as a key player in the global tech landscape, creating many new opportunities for Singaporeans.

Lawrence wants to strengthen Singapore's voice on the international stage.

We all want to strengthen Singapore's voice on the international stage and add to our participation in influential global forums.
Parliament has therefore voted in favour of amending the Constitution to allow the President and Ministers to take on international appointments in their independent and private capacities, to serve the national interest.
In particular, such international appointments are core to the President's role as our Head of State and Singapore’s top diplomat. The amendments enable him to contribute his personal views to international organisations, while fulfilling his presidential duties to advance the national interest and project Singapore’s influence abroad.
Importantly, with this change, we will have a proper and principled governing framework for elected officials to take on such international roles in the national interest. We can continue to ensure our little red dot shines brightly in a dark and troubled world.
