SINGAPORE : Two teenagers have been arrested for brandishing a knife on board an MRT train last year.
Police said the youths, aged 16 and 17, were in the train on 31 December 2009 with two friends.
One of the suspects took out the knife from his bag and posed for a photo, which was taken by one of his friends.
The police said a photo of both the suspects with the knife in a train was later uploaded onto a website.
The suspects are also being investigated for gang-related offences.
They have been released on bail.
The police are trying to locate the other two youths.
Persons found guilty of carrying offensive weapons or found to be in the company of persons carrying offensive weapons can be jailed up to three years and given a maximum of six strokes of the cane.
