Take a look at the picture again. Composition can only make WKS taller if he was standing in front of JT and NEH, and the shot was framed upwards from a low angle. But WKS was standing slightly behind both of them (clue: look at the relative position of their arms), which would actually make him look shorter, not taller!
Next, notice the steps in the background. They were standing on ascending stairs; that's why Zainuddin and Hri Kumar behind appear almost a head taller than NEH (1.85m) despite being of average height. Therefore if JT and NEH were located slightly in front of WKS, they must be standing on a step lower than WKS. That explains why Shortie appears taller than JT and almost as tall as NEH.
BTW, 'depth of field' is about the distance (from the lens) range within which objects remain in focus; it has nothing to do with perspective or objects' relative size.
Your abysmal lack of photography knowledge is only matched by your astounding visual acuity. Sometimes it's better keep the trap shut to prevent the air between the ears from escaping.
