Speaking of the land of the rising sun, I personally find Toshinori Kondo / DJ Krush's "Ki-Oku" album awesome. I remember buying it back when HMV at the Hereen was decent, but you can find most of the tracks off YouTube or the "link sharing" channels nowadays.

I listen to more bop, but my taste is eclectic. I've been neglecting my CD collection somewhat, after a crash erased the meticulously-organised collection on my hard drive. Since then, my collection has slowly dwindled with each new computer. I'm retarded when it comes to backing stuff up.

The only jazz albums I have now are Ki-Oku, Kind of Blue, Live at Carnegie Hall (Monk quartet/Coltrane) and Live at Massey Hall (Parker/Gillespie/Mingus/Roach/Powell). The latter three I'm sure you'd have heard off, but Ki-Oku will always be one of my personal favourites.

I've had quite a few dreams where I was listening to it on hash. Good dreams.
