In my opinion, if Oppos wants to challenge the ruling Party, they should first get rid of all those useless parties and to reform or unite it to not more than 2 oppo parties in the next GE in 4/5 years’ time otherwise fat hope
If only got 2-3 opposition parties, then very clearly the next GE will be a by-election. They won't have enough candidates to contest more than half the seats.
I was actually surprised at the small number of seats each oppie party contested. It seemed like since GE2011, there was a signifiant surge in interest and volunteers in opposition parties. I remember Nicole Seah even setting up some sort of grassroots tuition and social aid for the poor in Marine Parade area. They all died down by end of 2012?
