Sop for chest pain.
1. Do ecg
If OK case close. Should be due to rib muscles.
2. If ecg abnormal , refer to a&e
3. At a&e do high sensitivity Troponin blood test to check if got heart attack for past 24 hrs.
If blood test shows ok , doc usually discharge you and refer to cardiologist for appointment for follow up.
If blood test not OK, admission.

ECG could still be normal so it would be prudent to go straight to the blood test option.

If you go a&e straight away then probably yes will do both concurrently.
If you goto gp 1st then they will do ecg because blood test over there will take weeks for results.

If the doctor order for you exercise MIBI it will cost even more.
But this is necessary to check details.
During MIBI they will inject contrast and ask you to do thread mill. After that do scan of heart to see the results.
