Plutonium detected all around 20 kilometers from Fukushima plant

Japan Gov’t concerned that ‘unexpected source’ of contamination is exiting Fukushima — Radiation levels in ocean are rising — Record amount of radioactive substance found in groundwater at plant

Levels of cesium in seawater samples collected inside the port rose to 100 becquerels per liter this month from 10 becquerels between June and July

TEPCO measured 320,000 becquerels of tritium per liter from leakage of highly contaminated water used to cool the reactors. It marked the first time that water containing 300,000 or more becquerels of tritium per liter was detected from groundwater sampled from the compound of the Fukushima plant.

this is what happen when u want face, face screwed them.

Japan-Singapore FTA.

Under 'Mutual Recognition Goods':

Mutual Recognition Arrangement for Goods

The Japan-Singapore Mutual Recognition (MR) on conformity assessment provides for the mutual recognition of test results and certification by recognised conformity assessment bodies in both countries. With the MR, manufacturers and exporters can simply send their products to local conformity assessment bodies for testing and certification without having to undertake duplicative testing and certification of products in the importing country.

The MR will benefit each country's manufacturers and exporters of electrical/electronic products as well as telecommunications equipment by reducing potential time lags and cost burdens. Furthermore, by obviating the need for products to be tested by foreign conformity assessment bodies, manufacturers and exporters are likely to encounter less procedural delays due to language differences. Cost savings and shortened product dissemination time will make our businesses more competitive, thus creating greater market access and opportunities for them.

I'm not sure if imported Japanese food will be exempted from this.

Nuclear report warns of apocalyptic scenario at Fukushima in weeks ahead — Ambassador: “The Unit 4 contains 10 times more Cesium-137 than Chernobyl. So in case the worst occurs, this can be considered as the beginning of the ultimate catastrophe of the world and the planet, two-and-a-half years of struggling by the state and by TEPCO have proven that nuclear accidents cannot be coped with by electric companies or by a single state.”

The World Nuclear Report said the nuclear fuel rods removal operation in November had the potential to cause “the most serious radiological disaster to date”. Possible apocalyptic scenarios includes the evacuation of 10 million people in the area, including Tokyo. 400 tonnes of irradiated spent fuel from reactor 4 which needs to be removed from the highly unstable structure carry so many risks and unknowns, including whether the fuel assemblies have been damaged, which could lead to the radiation risks if the casings have been breached. The worst case scenario is if the fuel assemblies are dropped, which could ultimately lead to a meltdown.

Giant spike in radioactivity as Typhoon Wipha caused high levels of radioactive strontium and other beta rays measuring 1,400 becquerels per liter to be detected in the ocean. The legal standard for strontium emissions is 30 becquerels per liter.

Strontium is the scariest of all. It penetrates and stays resident in bones, causing leukemia. This is particularly dangerous for the growth phase of children exposed today.

Japanese professor : ''Plutonium and uranium escaped Fukushima reactors as gas, it was a colossal 9,000ºF inside — Can’t be detected with Geiger counter — Terrible things are looming for the children, they must be evacuated yet nothing’s done.''

“It’s a time bomb and clock’s ticking” — Ex-Fukushima Worker: I’m scared of collapse at plant, “buildings are in a very bad state” — “Building failures” will occur in future if problems not solved

Radioactivity level spikes 6,500 times at Fukushima well after TEPCO said on Friday they detected 400,000 becquerels per liter of beta ray-emitting radioactive substances, including strontium.

Robert Jacobs, a professor at Hiroshima Peace University :

“Nobody knows how to solve the unprecedented problems at Fukushima. There is no solution that other countries have that they can come in and fix the reactors, or rather, shut down the contamination, shut down the leaks.”

“They have a thousand tanks that are held together with a plastic pipe, in a moderate earthquake the plastic pipes fail and all that material will run across the ground surface and into the ocean,” said nuclear power expert Arnold Gundersen.

“The four reactors that are the most damaged had a series of explosions internally, so a moderate earthquake can do a lot of serious damage there.”

He added that the health risks are great and continue to increase every year. “Somewhere between 100,000 to 1,000,000 [people] will over the next thirty years get cancer from this accident...1,000 additional cancers a year from eating fish from the Pacific.”

Tepco is in fact pushing to reopen its Kashiwazaki Kariwa facility – the world's largest nuclear power station – which was shut down in 2007 following reports of radioactive leaks in the wake of an earthquake.

Australian sailor: “After we left Japan, it's as if the ocean itself was dead — I’ve done a lot of miles on the ocean in my life and I’m used to seeing turtles, dolphins, sharks and big flurries of feeding birds. But this time, for 3000 nautical miles there was nothing alive to be seen. Saw one whale, it appeared helpless with big tumor on head''

''And something else. The boat’s vivid yellow paint job, never faded by sun or sea in years gone past, reacted with something in the water off Japan, losing its sheen in a strange and unprecedented way.''

Sharp radiation growth registered in ground water samples throughout just one day, October 18th............Tritium, exceeded admissible values 6,500 times. This is the gravest situation since the 2011 Fukushima accident.

Japan Professor: It’s such a dangerous situation for other countries — Gov’t does not want an adequate solution for crisis at Fukushima; Fear of it being found out just how bad things really are at plant.

2 Fukushima workers said Typhoon Wipha caused a slope in Fukushima plant area to collapse. The slope faces the main street, and earth blocked the street. Also, another area had a subsidence and more slopes in the area may collapse due to upcoming Super Typhoon Francisco on track for Fukushima — Typhoon Lekima develops in Pacific — Concern storms may collide, “It’s called the Fujiwara effect” — Both could hit east coast of Japan later in week.

Radioactive material have flowed into the Pacific Ocean after barriers around contaminated water storage tanks overflowed following a heavy downpour. According to TEPCO, radioactive strontium-90 measured at as many as 70 times the regulatory limit of 10 becquerels per liter, flowed from 11 barriers. :eek:While 60 billion becquerels of cesium-137 and strontium-90 are being discharged daily into the Pacific.

Nuclear Engineer: Pyrophoric fire may have already occurred at Fukushima Unit 4 spent fuel pool — Explosion possibly due to rods not being covered with water — a pyrophoric fire, by the way to answer your question, put simply it’s a class D fire, a metal burning fire very difficult to extinguish… if you pour water on them they get hotter.
