My sincere & deepest condolence to Mdm Phobe Ho. May all who loved her know she is in a better place than here now.

The insignificant nobody me did witness beautiful SYTs who once worked in the nightlife industry whom are now doing what they could to earn a living, in these terrible COVid era times where the nightlife is almost dead, due to unnecessary fear over a virus-a biological lifeform in our environment that existed for centuries even before Humankind appeared on planet Earth, & will exist even when the last Human is left on Earth, & had wasted revenues & policies that are NOT based upon science, harming Humankind & economies for more than 2 yrs by foolish restrictions, more so when foolish leaderships enacted foolish NO-COVID policies such as China. At least the much vaunted & moronic New Zealand & Australian leaderships woke up to REALITIES.

Trade & services are the lifeblood for Humankind to survive. While there is much concerns over nightlife operators, they do provide a service as a balm for Humankind to relieve stresses with work & life, so long as NONE of them are forced into it, enter it with an open mind, to provide services, and critically to hurt no one or be hurt by anyone.

In these crisis of COVid & Russia's ambitions, much of our world faced upheavals, nothing is normal anymore, sadly, by the FOOLISH actions of a few leaders. However, life must go on. Trade & services will ALWAYS BE NEEDED. There will be no life if blood does not flow.

In Economic terms, there are TWO important models/ways to be successful - to go for QUALITY, or for QUANTITY, to earn dollars, and NOT just raising prices alone.

For the KTV biz, some operators decided to go for QUALITY - deep pockets of the rich, whom can provide $10,000/nite/customer for hostess & drinks. 10 customers alone will be $100,000/nite or $300,000/per month. However, the disadvantage of this model is that in its exclusivity, only the rich will spend such sums, often on company accounts. While there are MANY enterprenuers per year, EQUALLY, at least 90% of them WILL fail - due to lack of biz acumen, market anticipation or plain negligence. The point is - deep pocket customers are few.

Some operators decided to go for QUANTITY instead, catering the average salarymen which often forms 90% of any population. with CRITICAL ASSESMENT on the needs of them. They do not need a superb class environment. Even mere chairs & tables will do. It is the LIQUOR & the companionship of females they need, at budgeted prices that will not hurt their pockets. Operators using thai style of companionship FAILED when the ladies ABUSED the system - to call their friends to drink & made the customer pay MORE than he intended, for companionship they did not need, & felt overcharged. The Vietnam model was proven successful - whereby for mere tips of tens of dollars, a customer can get companionship for night, regardless of beautiful or average-as being drunk nor looking for a wife, those tips even if butterfly by the ladies does not hurt the customer.

Thus, if a customer is satisfied, with low prices for liquor & ladies which does not exceed $100/ per nite/ customer = 100 customers in/out within hrs = $10,000 per nite = $300,000 per month, with lesser overheads & loans for renovation & rent. Unfortunately, too many nightlife entreprenuers & lady operators follow the high price model, costing a customer more than $200 per nite, which only results LESS customers & even NO customers & eventually having to close down within months.

Therefore, if any entreprenuer TRULY wants to succeed, they best sit down, work out the sums & what customers need, to EITHER attract the exclusive QUALITY few whom only forms perhaps 1% of population OR seek for the QUANTITY 90% of population, to survive. Even a hawker selling chicken rice today at $1.50 attracted LONG QUEUES, proving the QUANTITY model is far more successful than QUALITY. Even China - factory of the world, had proven such with their low quality products - sold cheap, spoilt easily & have to buy another - eg - shoes at $10 but last 1 month, & in a year customer pays $100 for shoes, to serve a temporary need till better times, which if the customer was thrifty & not in dire need, would had bought US products such as redwing shoes - $100 but last at least 5yrs & more....
