Sorry, my error, from Wikipedia, he's not burnt by cab captain, that was the previous incident.

In May 2006, Seng was attacked by a constituent of his, a 74-year old disgruntled former taxi driver who felt that Seng was not taking any action to help him regain his lost taxi licence. The man later made a public apology to Seng, and the charges were dropped.[4]

In January 2009, Seng suffered another attack by one of his constituents; a 70-year old man set him on fire by pouring paint thinner on his back and then igniting him with a cigarette lighter.[5] The man was believed to be mentally ill. Seng suffered burns to roughly 15 percent of his body, and received treatment at Singapore General Hospital.[6] He took time off to recover from his injuries, and resumed his duties in July 2009.[2]

Wow... red like a cooked lobster.

I am looking forward to a strong WP Team contesting at AMK GRC

I am more worried that they send in a "wrong" team that got disqualified on nomination day, giving a walk over. History repeats itself. It has happened twice. Won't be surprised if they use the same method a 3rd time.

Anus Koh must have found out that there's a higher chance of hell freezing over than him winning Punggol East SMC.

Alas, all those photo ops were done in vain.

He, together with Yeo Guat Kwang and Ass Loong, will kiss the dust when we kick their butts in GE2016.

So, is he a stayer or a quitter from PE?

Remember in 2013, Koh Poh Koon proclaimed that he was a Son of Punggol and that his heart belongs to the SMC?

You wonder why would a successful, assuming he is one, would want to run for office? It is not the $200k allowance that attracts him. It is the $50 million that every cabinet minister will earn that makes him willing to ditch his medical career for the political one.

Isn't it obvious. Anus Koh is a colorectal doctor. Gay Loong as rectal cancer. Anus Koh is Gay Loong's doctor. Gay Loong likes Anus Koh digging in his backside so much that he makes him MP so he can spend some private time with him in the GRC office.

Dr Koh Poh Koon who lost in the January 2013 by-election in Punggol East SMC is likely to be fielded in Ang Mo Kio GRC for the next general election. Despite promoting himself as the ‘Son of Punggol’ in the Punggol East by-election, it looks like Dr Koh is also going to be the ‘Grandson of Ang Mo Kio’ or 'Honorary Cousin of Yio Chu Kang' or something like that. Just yesterday, Dr Koh quit as the Chairman of the PAP Punggol East branch. He was later seen at the Tree Planting Day in Ang Mo Kio GRC, together with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and several grassroots leaders.
(Refer: http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/koh-poh-koon-for-ang-mo/14...)

When interviewed, Dr Koh said “I came at the invitation of Mr Seng Han Thong, but obviously this is a big GRC so there could be many areas that we could participate and help in,” said Dr Koh. “So I'll serve in whichever area they feel I can contribute”.

It seems like Punggol East residents will have to stick to Workers’ Party and MP Lee Li Lian for now. Just like in Hougang and Aljunied, the losing PAP candidate has left ahead of the next general election. Too bad for the 43.71% who voted for PAP.

Maybe Dr Koh will be replacing MP Seng Han Thong who has served for a long time. Or perhaps MP Intan who found herself in hot soup after the Yang Yin incident and has yet to answer netizens' questions.
With his transfer to the Prime Minister’s GRC, it is very likely that Dr Koh will be elected as a MP soon. During the Punggol East by-election, Dr Koh was touted by PM Lee as having the potential to be ‘more than an MP’. With his transfer, it now looks like Dr Koh is going to be Minister Koh soon, thanks to the GRC system. What would have once seemed doubtful is now almost a reality.

With Dr Koh’s transfer to Ang Mo Kio GRC, all of the defeated PAP candidates have not stayed to re-contest the wards where they lost. They have been moved to safe GRCs which were not previously contested by the WP. Why? Because the PAP does not view the other opposition parties as credible threats.

Desmond Choo who lost twice in Hougang is now serving in Tampines GRC (previously contested by NSP). Likewise, Ong Ye Kung who lost in Aljunied GRC is now serving in Sembawang GRC (previously contested by SDP). It looks like a bunch of PAP unknowns will be fielded in the 7 WP wards for the sake of contesting those wards. No heavyweight PAP candidate is bothered to try his luck there.

It seems like the elite PAP candidates will be fielded in safe seats whereas the less successful PAP candidates are destined to stand in hostile territory and prove their worth. If elite PAP candidates are ever fielded in unsafe seats, they will be moved somewhere else for the next election as a reward to ‘save face’ - a reward for losing.

There is no risk in a PAP candidate losing because he will somehow get elected the next time round. Think Mah Bow Tan and his defeat in Potong Pasir in 1984. That did not stop him from becoming a famous minister later on.

So next time the PAP says somebody is of ministerial calibre, just go ahead and vote him out. He will be elected from somewhere else in a matter of time. That's none of your business, so don't ask why.
