what's the point? only 69 years of lease from papa xi.
It looks like any other cities in china. No spiritual or emotional element to it.
moreover, if you cash out cannot take money out of prc. and at the year before end of lease (69th year), must go to land administration bureau to apply for sextension. whether they are going to give 6.9 months to 1 year sextension or not is up to them. and must keep applying for sextension every year. by then, at 96 year old with end of lease, who can survive to make the trip to land admin bureau office in beijing? 
You can feel the SINKapore spirit and the Ah Tiong emotions (love of money) there.
