Chingay become like National Day

I was abit shocked after watching Chingay 2013. Instead of being a celebration of Chinese New Year, it seemed more like a National Day parade with pasted LKY speech and video of PM Lee. Then you have emotional narration about "Singaporeans" and the theme songs also sound so like national Day songs!!
