Crowd getting lesser...guess many losing to the house! :(

How's MBS?

Lesser crowd??? Not true at all, if you are a regular at the common floor, you see crowd whole day & night, both RWS & MBS.
You have no idea how's the crowd like on 9 July at MBS, I entered only for 5 mins and I almost fainted at the casino, struggled my way back to the hotel room, luckily I booked free hotel stay that day.

Have you guys ever notice that when you are down to your last bet, 100% sure lose no matter what you bet ?

Also have you guys notice that when u bet big, sure lose.
Bet small 60% win

Beginner's thinking.
You will know that this is not true once you become a "mature" player.

FINALLY, I won a big jackpot progressive prize at RWS last weekend. :p
No slot player here, needless to talk much coz I know nobody will bother to understand how I won it, just make an appearance to show that I am still alive.

Congrats bro. It sure is a good feeling to win, whether its $100 or millions. You sure are lucky to win it

Just the slot expert consultant I'm looking for  [my 1st post here]

I'm an occasional 'recreational' slot player tho' I should really start playing at the table too for variety etc ...

Now I made my virgin trip to MBS only on 16 July with another friend - made a mistake as forgot to apply for membership before playing the slots
Didn't find it overly crowded that Fri afternoon & night
How many points could have been possible with say 1k total play ? Would it have been enuf for a Gold Membership upgrade ? wasted ...:(
{Later at home tried to apply online for membership but never received the purported email from them sighz ... :confused:}

Anyway is the common floor the main floor where the sole entrance is ?
Only played on that floor then on Fri and on the floor below that with the many more 'cheaper 1 cent & 2-cent slots' the following day
Found the 5-cent slots pretty hefty as I tend to go for max lines [and x 2 or more] so each $50 runs out pretty fast compared with the 2-cent games

Found that the Linked Free Jackpot/Bonuses at MBS are NOT at all frequent compared to the M'sian Genting slots or Poipet casino slots ...
Only managed to get a miserly $20+ Mini-Jackport [linked] ONCE at the ChoySunYe slot during the last 20 minutes of my 24-hour $100 entry on Sat

Can I consult you on the following pls :

1. Could u let me have a summary of the dining spots and nicer 'lucrative/luckier' slot machine spots at MBS {their locations}
No useful maps/plans on MBS Site itself

2. The "nicer" slot games to play and where ....{Machine No. ?? etc}
Can PM me those + the "forget abt it altogether" machines/slots/location if too sensitive to post here ?

3. Any useful TIPS for me ??
eg. each time I doubled my initial capital should I just withdraw with the slip and continue playing with a fresh note/capital at same machine /move onto another machine OR would it be much better to simply feed the machine say $100-200-300 and just play/pray until $$ exhausted/a Biggish Win occurs

4. Is the $25/6-hour levy rumour likely to occur ?
If so, I'll delay taking up possible annual 2k membership for the time being
Is it worth taking up annual membership ?

5. My favourite slot found at Genting is Around The World [a noisy travel-related slot with choice of Russia, India, China etc for the free game feature options + linked bonus Horse Race] *** Is this slot game available at MBS [or even at RWS] - if so, which exact spot/corner can these be found ?
Is Fighter Pilot available too ?
Other 'favourites' include ChoySunYe, Gold Miner, Red Indian Tepee, ...

6. Is it really much better to play between 2-6 ? pm on weekdays with some "Free Prize" promotion or other [saw some kinda banner at the lower floor but didn't really 'study' that]
Should I only spend my time at the more 'expensive' progressive jackpot slots ?

7. Is the 'ambience & people' better/luckier/more civilised over at MBS compared with that at RWS ?
But from your Big progressive jackpot win [Congrats there] - you must have found RWS luckier for you !

8. Any idea how to get to MBS from Esplanade MRT ?
So far I know can take Bus No. 106 and 133 from opposite Fairmont Hotel/Raffles City but get bus disruptions with the NDP Rehearsal etc :(

TIA !!!

PS : BTW - if I'm on the $100 24-hour entry - what happens if I didn't get out before the 24-hour deadline ?
Do I simply pay the extra $100 when I leave later
i.e. pls confirm there won't be any additional penalty or fine here too !
I mean I could still be playing away at some 'critical/crucial/winning' moment where I won't wish to stop just because the time is about up etc
I'm told there's no 'grace period - not even 1 minute' - time is needed to queue for the Slot Redemption etc .....

For those slot players, here's a simple question.

Why do you pay the $100 levy to go in to play slots at the casino when you can play slots for free at the various NTUC clubs?

I CAN'T get in free precisely bc I'm NOT an NTUC Member [my NTUC Link Card from INCOME doesn't allow me entry here ] - don't want the hassle of 'having to beg a member to bring me in as a guest etc into the Gaming Room' - also I think the slots at NTUC Clubs are NOT as varied or fun or available/plentiful or 'lucrative' etc as at the casinos too .....

Hobson's Choice here - do I want the inconvenience/time-wastage/travelling to play the slots on a ship or at Genting [even with free rooms etc] etc vs a $100 levy here ? Fingers crossed they'll allow the $25 per 6 hrs levy instead of $100 per 24 hours levy very soon ! They are really 'penalising us citizens/PRs' here

I havent been into both casinos yet. The $100 levy is the main prob. It's not the money but the principle. If I pay and step in, I have acknowledged I am lesser being than foreign passport holders. Hence, those who pay the levy have accepted the demeaning status. Ka Tiu and pui on them!

The casinos I play slot machines pay progressives in 100s of thousands of dollars. E.g. in NZ and Oz. This is something NTUC clubs or SAFRA clubs cannot match. And, yet there are plenty idiots out there day in day out contributing to the incomes of NTUC and SAFRA! Real low-life people these gamblers. In fact they are second to drug addicts, hopeless lowlifes.

Come across many sad cases. One that stood out is this young malaysian student pilot in NZ who struck $100,000+ and $200,000+ progressive jackpots in a week. Pay his parents to visit him and then holiday in Oz. BUT, in the course of 1/2 a year not only he returned all that he had won and went on to lose his school fees! One can imagine the devastation.

Don't talk cock you can control yourself yada yada yada. Once you walk into a casino, you are pretty much dead meat. It's only when that's all.

I noticed there is a NTUC gaming in AMK HUB. That place also need member ?
How to be a member ?

Anyway... I think NTUC is same as Singapore Pool. very difficult to win, as they take high commission. Any comments ?

Is the same theory in Football Betting, other online betting sites offer much better odds than Singapore Pool.

In Las Vegas, the slots are mandated by law to meet a certain payout requirement. By using this as the theoratical minimum, you can therefore calculate if playing a progressive slot is a positive expectations game.

In Singapore there is no such requirement. It is anybody's guess what is the payout on the slots. A progressive slot could have a very attractive payout but this could mask the fact that the slots are programmed such that the chance of hitting the jackpot is too low to make it meaningful (e.g. $100,000 payout but only 1 in 10 million chance of hitting it).

The assumption so far seems to be that the payout in the casino is more generous than NTUC/SAFRA. Is this really true? I don't know and was hoping that regular slot players might be able to give some insight into this.

Just to share ....

$100 entrance levy is deterrent for Singaporeans & PRs to enter the 2 casinos. I would say that regular casinos players should pay $2,000 annual membership levy which much a better deal than $100 day levy.

To compare the $100 day levy to my playing days in San Jose, California USA.

I went card houses or small casinos without slot machines or roulette tables in San Jose. I played mainly Baccarat or Blackjack in those places. The entrance is free inside card rooms but every hand that I bet on card games I had to pay USD $1 as commission to the dealers.

One day I played more than 100 hands of Baccarat or Blackjack and I had actually paid more than USD $100 worth of commission to the dealers.

I would say that paying $100 day levy or $2,000 annual levy is not a lot...

Can I consult you on the following pls :

1. Could u let me have a summary of the dining spots and nicer 'lucrative/luckier' slot machine spots at MBS {their locations}
No useful maps/plans on MBS Site itself.
2 Casual Dinning within the casino floor. Noodle shop at common floor and Buffet at Ruby club. No where has "luckier" slot machines.

2. The "nicer" slot games to play and where ....{Machine No. ?? etc}
Can PM me those + the "forget abt it altogether" machines/slots/location if too sensitive to post here ? Choose Aristocrat machines, they are more fun. But don't forget games by IGT, Azuze (Rescue Spin), they are quite fun too. Personally I don't like WMS, they are very noisy.

It is not true that you have higher chance to win if you insert in a TITO or CASH notes to the slot machine. It's all about luck.

4. Is the $25/6-hour levy rumour likely to occur ?
If so, I'll delay taking up possible annual 2k membership for the time being
Is it worth taking up annual membership ? No idea, since I bought annual levy, I don't bother much about levy.

5. My favourite slot found at Genting is Around The World [a noisy travel-related slot with choice of Russia, India, China etc for the free game feature options + linked bonus Horse Race] *** Is this slot game available at MBS [or even at RWS] - if so, which exact spot/corner can these be found ?

I have not been to Genting for 15 years, I have no idea what they have.
The games that you mentioned "horse race" progressive prize is NOT availabe in RWS/MBS. Mostly you see Cash Train, FaFaFa and randam hit progressive prizes nowadays.
Surely your can find ChoySunDuo (version 1 & 2), Gold Miner, 5Dragon, 5Koi, etc...... casinos can't "live" without Aristocrat games !!!.

6. Is it really much better to play between 2-6 ? pm on weekdays with some "Free Prize" promotion or other [saw some kinda banner at the lower floor but didn't really 'study' that]
Should I only spend my time at the more 'expensive' progressive jackpot slots ? Progressive prize usually hits during "ODD hours" (1AM-7AM), this is ODD to me, I would like to know the reason too!
If you wish to win fast and BIG, I would suggest you to go for high domination ($50 or $100 per spin) slot machines by Bally ( those 7,7,7, bar, bar, bar,) you can win $2-3000 in 5mins or lose your capital $1000 in 15secs. The % of winning is 60%. If you just wish to have fun, go for penny slots, 1,2,5cents machines, the chances to win is less than 10%.

7. Is the 'ambience & people' better/luckier/more civilised over at MBS compared with that at RWS ?
But from your Big progressive jackpot win [Congrats there] - you must have found RWS luckier for you !
Gamblers are all the same in this world. Am I more luckier at RWS, maybe??

8. Any idea how to get to MBS from Esplanade MRT ?

Hi bro kia, care to share how much you have won for the big jackpot progressive prize last weekend? More than 10k?

A frd of mine won $8k progressive jackpot just outside the entrance in RWS last weekend. I do not know which level of progressive jackpot he hit.

Your frd won the 2nd level progressive prize, mine was top level.
Most of the top prizes in RWS starts from 50k for 5cts slots and for 2cts penny slots, it usually starts from 10k or 20k.
The FaFaFa progressive starts from 200k (current prize accumulation 405k) and Mega Jackpot starts from 1million (current accumulation 2.06Million), oh yah, and the last Lambo waiting for his owner.
Whileas MBS, they have more 2cts slot machines at the common floor, the progressive prizes also starts from 10 or 20k.

This $100 levy works wonders for me. Because I have stuck to my principles I haven't step into ze casinos yet altho' the itch is there. If you guys subscribe to being inferior to foreign passport holders, good on you. Trying to rationalise the levy is exhibiting the orientals' ah Q mentality to the max!

No angmos in their angmo countries will subscribe to this kind of sh1t. Only orientals.

You are one PRIME example!

The above is just your fucking mentality as long as we don't feel inferior to foreign passport holders that $2,000 annual levy suit Singapore casino lovers well. If you paying $100 levy make you feel lower status than foreigners, I would also suggest you don't travel to oversea casinos because you will even feel lower than others gamblers there.

To each their own bro. Their is no need to get uptight with people who do not wish to pay the levy just because they think is unfair. In this world there are many kinds of people who will find the reasons to justify their actions.

If can afford to pay the levy and want to gamble, just go into the casinos. If cannot afford to pay, there will be people who say why other casinos no need to pay. If that is the case, then by all means they can go to other casinos. The casinos do not force anyone to enter the premises neither do they deduct the levies by giro. :o

That is the main reason why the govt put in place $100 levies is to deter these group of people and from response, it works on this group of people. People who really want to gamble, the levy doesn't stop them at all. If it stops them, it falls into the category which govt wants to stop from entering. :o

For those who can't afford the levy, then they shouldn't be even thinking about going in to gamble.

I do not support the levy system but understand it serves to deter certain groups from entering due to various reasons.

For me, I love to gamble so no choice, annual for me. :(
