MM Lee arrives at his wife's wake

SINGAPORE: Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew arrived at the wake of his wife Kwa Geok Choo at Sri Temasek, the official residence of the Prime Minister and located within the Istana grounds, on Monday evening.
Mr Lee had over the past month been sharing how he had been managing with his wife's long illness.
The Minister Mentor had said that Madam Kwa would wait for him at night to come back home, where he would read poems to her and articles from various newspapers.
Mrs Lee passed away peacefully at her Oxley Road home on 2 October. She was 89.
Mrs Lee had been seriously ill since suffering two strokes in 2008 -- the first in May which was the most serious, and another in June.
She first suffered a stroke in 2003 while visiting London. The second series of strokes in 2008 left her bedridden for the past two years.
