you are being very silly as you're over-generalizing out of proportion. Not everyone over 40 speaks like Lim Swee Say or has a third world mindset. Many of my friends are successful entrepreneurs.
The reason why they are quite a number of disenfranchised sinkees over 40yo is because they were complacent while they were younger, during the time when they had more secure employment and could find one night stands more easily due to their youth. They forget however that looks fade and they'll not be employable forever.
The most serious mistake a young person can make is to assume that he can be gainfully employed forever. Foreigners make sure that is not the case, no matter how brilliant you think you are. The advice i give my younger friends is to assume that you're going to be retrenched and placed by a foreigner the moment u turn 40. if you're not prepared for that and have a backup plan in place, you're finished.
