The wardrobe sounds quite nice. Can share some pics after the installation?

My wardrobe was done by my contractor's sub-con; not very good workmanship and had to undergo a few rounds of rectification. Hopefully the rectification can finish by early May.

Oh no, I engaged Supercool to do 22ft of timber decking for me. It's not a big project; hopefully the quality is there or else I just hold back final payment until they give me a perfect timber decking.

Yup, sure. I will post the picture after that. I look for hong lee to do all my major things in kitchen and masterbed room is becos of quality despite the price.

No pt to pay cheaper price but get shxx in the end..

Victor from zest design did the gate. It's recycled chengai wood but actually cost more than new as the old woods needs trimming and sanding. This old wood don't shrink anymore so they are perfect for staying in the original shape. We just wanted something different from what we have seen in the market so this was a perfect gate. 4 piece folding and opens to close 20ft I think. And it costs 18k excluding the autogate but includes the side gate. Just decking and pool to go, then almost done. Shewwwww!!!
If my quotation is RM85k after Home Fair discount, I think it could touch 100k without discount. Anyway, with the additional storage space, I believe this will be the final renovation for the kitchen forever.

Hey Sandy, nice touch on the external wall and custom-made wooden gate. May I know how much is the gate and who is the contractor? We thought of using CSA aluminium gates, but at 18ft costing RM15k, it was double the price of the stainless steel gate that we finally chose from Zheng Tong. Is your renovation finished?

I have a question regarding the power points in Johor. Are the power points in Johor residential homes the same 3-pin ones that we have in Singapore?

Reason why I am asking is this: if I bring my electric appliances such as hair dryer, rice cooker, juice blender from Singapore to my Johor home, do I need to use a separate adapter, like what I have to do in Thailand?

Malaysia and Singapore share the same voltage and socket design.

Even when not at home? That's something new.
Isn't the electrical grounding systems the same.

This shouldn't happen right?

Yesterday, I went to Delfino at No 119 Jalan Nusa Bestari 2 2/2 and found reasonable good deals for their sanitary kitchen & bathroom fittings. Bought 13 items such as dual flexible sink tap, SS towel rails, rain shower head & extension pole, mirrored cabinet, expendable 50ft super lightweight garden hose, glass shelf, hand bidets all under the budget of 1.5k.... I don't think i can get such deals else where. The guy who attend to me was Roy Goh and he was very helpful & good with his price. Previously, I went to Criteria nearby & was slashed for buying a washbasin & water closet ....i wished i had discover to Delfino earlier and regret buying at Criteria! ;o(

I so agree with you; big difference working with Honglee people and then compare to other contractors. Another one that I can recommend is Maxly landscape; good work and careful workers.

It looks good, but won't the gate be very heavy. Even with stainless steel at 18ft on rollers, I'm having issues with the rollers and opening/closing of the gates; sometimes it doesn't close and I have to manually pull it close. Who are you getting for decking? Supercool quoted RM40 psf, already engaged them before I read the negative feedback here.

It has happened before where the grounding either doesn't work or the surge is too strong. My in-laws' house in Subang Jaya has been struck a few times by lighting and it fried their fax machine. Now they are using Belkin surge protector, no more incidents Some photos of my landscape:

Oh yeah can see this house by the main road. Very white i recall but very cool too . Swimming pool is good to have and value for money if one stays in the house daily and got use frequently.

For me if my kids or i got the itch to swim we just hop to HH swimmg pool or Leogoland water park where we are annual premium pass members.

Yup gate is heavy. Was told we need heavy duty autogate system to operate the gate. What kind of wood did they quote for RM40psf? I have no time to source elsewhere so most works I just asked my main contractor to settle. His men will do the decking and Woodwork.
