Agree and we are not talking about leadership. We are talking about Members of Parliament who represent their constituency. They are elected by the people to represent their views, their aspirations and their fears and concerns.

I note that PAP have always equated MPs as leaders something that no other western democracy following the Westminster does. People in Singapore are conditioned over the decades that it is leadership position and not a representative position. It is a mischievous position to take and the gullible fall for it.

Naturally some will have leadership capabilities and will lead. Do note that MPs are paid for their representative role and when they hold any other political appointment such as cabinet, they are also paid but separately.
