The most important is to get all singaporeans into workforce and stop importing so called foreign talent/worker and retrench (aka: fuck them) all foreigners back to their motherland, of course the real talented foreigners may remain to assist singaporean to achieve for what we have not yet and contribute to the economy while we singaporean can learn from these talented people.

Defnitely we will thanks them for their generous effort.

If this can happen, this issue in Pariahment wont be so dramatic to debate except how to maximise the reserve to benefit both companies and singaporean employee as well.

this scheme should rename as JOKE CREDIT.

if it doesn't work and retrenchment and unemployment still rise, it would really be a big JOKE!

however, if it works, then low thia khiang himself would become the real JOKE!

whether it works or not, paps has a very unique and uncanny way to rosy every paintings. it's ultimately the peasants who would know whether they have benefitted directly or instead it is the directors or employers who benefitted most from the JOKE CREDIT.

my most simplistic view about JOKE CREDIT is to give a parable of the fisherman, the fishing rod and the river.

if there is no more fishes in the river, giving the fisherman another better fishing rod would also end up no fish caught at the end of the day.

joke credit appears to be a retardant plan to the final gloom and doom that's hovering over peasants' head without mercy.

In all fairness, I think there are a few things to be sorted out.

1) The point is NOT about whether Job Credits will save jobs or not. The main point is whether Job Credit should be given with certain conditions attached. eg. Profitability, keeping Singaporeans on the jobs, if retrenchment comes, Singaporeans should not consist of more than 10% of the retrenched. etc.

2) The job credit is actually not a bad idea, BUT there is much fine tuning to be done in its implementation.

3) LTK has a very valid point. If PAP has really cuts their own ministers' pay by 20%, why is the budget allocated to political appointment holders the same as last year? But the focus is being blurred during the debate.
