Jesus came and gave just 2 commandments:
1. Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and mind and soul
2. Love thy neighbor as thyself.

That's why the Jews hated Jesus and persecuted him and the early Christians.

Buddha and Jesus did not come to found a religion. (Their followers created a religion of the teachings, and the rot set in.) They came to overturn the rigid religious rites and rituals, compulsory tithing, gender discrimination, and tyranny of the clergy over the illiterate masses, in India and Palestine respectively

Outer observances and rituals will never get you to Heaven. The way to salvation is inner observation - see your mind and heart and soul and clear it of all obstacles to the flow of Spirit.
