Turkey's always been the highlight of Goodwood Park Hotel's Christmas specials; this year it's a baked Singapura turkey with pineapple cucumber achar on the side (available for takeaway, $188, serves 8-12). Buffet brunch is available on Christmas Day from 1030am-1pm or 2-5pm and includes entertainment for the kids ($128 per adult; $72 for kids 6-11 years).

For something more low-key, head to The Marmalade Pantry. We like the Christmas platters (available only at Pantry at the Stables, $42-78++) that serve three different types of mains - turkey, ham, and beef - with sides. Platters feed 2-4 people and are available 24 & 25 Dec 2012.

There’s no better place than Riders Cafe if you are looking for a place to go for Christmas brunch. Riders Cafe at Bukit Timah Saddle Club has always been one of my favourite places in Singapore. Its is extremely popular during weekends, so be sure to go early to get a table.

Within the past year, we have seen so many new Spanish restaurants opening on our shores. Among them, Salt Tapas & Bar by Chef Luke Mangan is definitely one that you must visit.
I’d suggest going there for lunch as it has a value for money set menu ($33.50++) which comes with flatbread and three tapas per person.
