You need curry to make chinese food tasteful

Samsters who served NS in the 1980s had the choice of Muslim or non-Muslim cookhouse food. Recruits who chose Muslim like me enjoyed tastier and better quality dishes.

Why be one-dinensional?

I love curry. But I can also appreciate the more delicate flavours and textures of say Cantonese cuisine and umami taste of Japanese food and cheesy Bechamel in French and Italian cuisines.

I have a Malay friend who grew up eating so much spicy food she can't appreciate non-spicy food. Keeps a bottle of Tabasco sauce in her bag and laces everything she eats with lots of Tabasco - burgers, cup noodles, rice, fried chicken, even pasta.
