航空发动机在研制过程之中会根据性能要求、试验出现情况、暴露的问题对发动机进行一定改进,F119涡扇发动机在研制过程之中就进行了相应改进,其中一个主要改进就是燃烧室由四区供油改为三区供油,以简化发动机结构,降低重量和成本,因此WS15在研制过程之中应该也进行了相应改进,从此前相关技术人员先进事迹可以看到WS15研制似乎遇到了发动机振动问题,航空发动机是典型三高产品(高转速、高压、高温),因此振动是航空发动机大敌,如果振动过大,不但会影响航空发动机本身性能和状态,还会影响飞机性能和状态,引起航空发动机振动原因有许多,包括航空发动机气动设计、部件匹配甚至包括发动机装配都会产生航空发动机振动,所以我们看到WS15先后进行了内、外涵道匹配设计,然后又进行了改进设计,包括整体动力特性、异常载荷等,甚至进行了核心机装配工艺等方面的研究。显然是为了控制航空发动机振动。

苏-57的产品发动机,采用了苏系战机一贯的整体关节式偏转,欧美中三方都是折流式偏转,后者能量损失小、重量也轻。之前网络上很多人说俄罗斯苏系战机采用的这种关节式矢量喷管是二元偏转,包括本菜印象中也是根深蒂固的,不过现在被证明这种说法是错误的,它也可以左右偏转,只是偏转幅度较小。一直以来苏系矢量喷管左右偏转的画面就很少见到,所以都认为只能上下偏转,直到某大神放出了左右偏转的图进行了打脸,这才让一干人哑口无言!苏系战机的矢量喷管,也是一种三元矢量喷管,只不过采用了较落后的整体式关节偏转,每转动一下整个尾喷管都要作动,远不如只有很短的收敛段偏转来得轻巧、能量损失小。
