That's what my army friend did. His wife psycho him to relocate to Florida with the kids. His 80 year old mother is all alone in Sinkieland as he's the only child and his old man kicked the bucket a few years ago. I have to visit her every week or take her out for meals as she keeps complaining of being miserable and wants to die. Sad!

old sinkie parents are too cocoonish and selfish, living in a well like a frog and not aware and enlightened of what their (brilliant) children can do and contribute to the world. all they think and hope for is what their children can do for them in terms of monetary support when they grow up and find work. a very traditional chinky attitude from any tiongsua village. the hundred years of shame in the lost century of china are still entrenched in their very soul, and they can’t break out of it even when sg has progressed from fishing village and colonial outpost to global metropolis the last 200 years. luckily for me, my parents wanted me to get the shit out of sg. they’ve seen enough of the constraints and stifling limits of sg. and they are the most generous and unselfish parents even though they are not wealthy. everyone of their children are well educated and high achievers, not the losers you see fighting in mrt and over beer aunties at kopitiams. they are hardly educated because of the war yet they are enlightened and well informed. everytime i meet my mom she has a wealth of info and insights to share…. about world affairs, economies, growth of societies, advancement of humankind. altruistic, betterment for all instead of narrow minded pursuit of one’s selfish desires. i thank the heavens for having such parents. sacrifice of one’s narrow wishes for universal gain.

over here in sillycon valley, since i’m a landlord i meet all kinds of global talent who leave their parents and hometowns behind, most often for good. their parents for the sake of planet earth and not themselves bid them to go from as far as egypt and turkey. i have a french tenant who’s a genius in fusion tech. i’m meeting a young german who just left germany and is planning to settle down in the valley to kickstart a specialized ai unit of a major tech company. he too will be my tenant. 2 ceca ladies from cecaland who are top students and now have $300k jobs from goog will share a house nearby. a young egyptian who works for apple is actively seeking a home to rent. an israeli who just transplanted to the valley to create a startup is also seeking the same home. 2 genius applicants 1 home to rent. they will establish their roots here, but more important invent new methods and things 6.9 years ahead of what the world has yet dreamed of. if their parents are like the typical sinkie parent, we won’t have the internet, social media, ecommerce, block chain and bitcoin, cloud storage, full screen haptics smartphones, fsd evs, quantum computing, ai, reusable space crafts, leo satellites, etc. the valley brings together the best talents on the planet. and they are young. i’m a witness to this world changing phenomenon. soon we or our children’s children’s children will be star travellers, colonizing planets over 6.9 light years away - the whole and sole purpose of humanity’s survival. we will no longer be part of a single node failure, subject to mass sextinction events beyond our control as they have happened to lifeforms 6.9 times in the past billions of years (coinciding with the paths of a bunch of asteroids in far flung offseted elliptical orbits circulating around the solar system). if my parents although lowly educated ot even uneducated can wake up to and understand this recurring danger why can’t majority of pioneer sinkie parents do?

and in a great collective act of unselfishness and universal enlightenment these parents of top notch talents around the world allow and persuade their children to go, and join the creative mass and awakening in order for the world to progress and advance beyond their cocoons. we are heavenly gifts to them when we are born; they are giving us back to planet earth and the heavens.

She is my father's sister. All her siblings are too old to take care of her. None of her nephews and nieces are willing to fork out money to look after her, since her condo is already willed to her grandson who refuses to return from the UK to be her caregiver.
