Worse names (or brands) of food ever!

Gay World Amusement Park (at least its shell) was still around in the late 1990s. I remembered my school had chartered a bus to fetch us to Geylang to watch the school team play a basketball match. The bus stopped just outside Gay World, but it was empty and the gates were shut.

Yes. I was still chiong chan mali chan and dato rajah there in the 90s.
Very strange feeling...must walk past the basketball courts to get to the ktv rooms.
The 24 hr hawker center running on a big generator with thai pros plying trade in the dark alleys outside.

When we were young we visit Gay World without feeling of being GAY!!

And we enjoyed the amusement park!!

Today if you have a Gay World I guess only Gay will visit such places!!

Surprising these Gay World, Great World, New World, Beauty World

all these belongs to Shaw Brothers, imagine how fcuking are they today??

Times have changes..gay meant happy, feeling good. We have Happy World, but we weren't happy, we have great world, but is was for certain rich people who run this land...we never ate Mee Siam Without Hum...it is just MEE SIAM...so gay means....you like another person of the sex..no longer means happy..except for the GAYS...

You and me from the same era.. My late grand uncle used to work as cashier at the billiards salon there..Many times I ponteng from school back in the early 90s and went to the billiards salon to gamble at the horse racing machines there using just 20 cent for a game..

Each time I lose a game, my granduncle would use his key to open up the slot storing the coins and return me back the 20 cent.. Thanks to him, I never lost a race there..:D
