World records that Guinness refuses to accept

The appeal of achieving a record-breaking feat is understandable. We all want to be special in some way, and some of us go to great lengths to get there. But while your record might get you a prize and recognition from your peers, it doesn't necessarily mean Guinness World Records will recognize it. Sorry to burst your bubble!
Indeed, entries are selected on a number of criteria that more often than not is hard to meet. So if you think you have what it takes to break a world record, first check if it can actually be recognized as one.
