A mobile crane at Sunview Drive in Jurong toppled over earlier today (March 9). No one was hurt when the incident happened at Yong Xing Construction's workplace.
The Manpower Ministry (MOM) was alerted to the incident and a stop-work order has been issued while investigations are ongoing.
The Straits Time said that firm had been contracted by industrial landlord Jurong Town Corporation (JTC) to build an electrical substation at the site, and the mobile crane is owned and operated by Beng Huat Crane.
AsiaOne reports that JTC said the incident happened when the crane was extending its boom. The area has been cordoned off, and JTC is currently working with the contractor to assist in MOM's investigations.

The photo shows Hua Tiong crane, how come it is owned and operated by Beng Huat? Unless this is a stock photo.

One crane operator job opening for sinkies. Hehe.. we need more sinkies to be scapegoats for their contractor bosses!
