The career lifespan of most sinkie PMETs is until retirement. The average sinkie household income has been steady for the past decade at a level of S$8000 and above.

While there are sinkie PMETs who lose their jobs and end up in low paying jobs as security guards or taxi drivers, they are by far in the minority.
