Woman, two children rescued from fire in Lorong Ah Soo flat

SINGAPORE : A woman and two children were rescued from a flat in Block 135 Lorong Ah Soo which caught fire on Tuesday morning.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were found in the master bedroom of the ninth floor unit.
They were sent to Singapore General Hospital for suspected smoke inhalation.
SCDF said it received a call about the fire at about 11.45am.
When SCDF officers arrived at the scene, the unit was filled with thick smoke and a section of the living room was on fire.
It was brought under control within 15 minutes.
SCDF said the cause of the fire is being investigated. - CNA/ms
