First, Tony Tan was extremely rude when he interrupted TJS. Second, by asking TJS to back his statement, he was using the timeworn PAP tactic of intimidation by issuing a veiled threat to sue.

TJS had every right to counter the rude interruption and threatening words. The finger should be pointed at TT, not TJS.

TJS stated that ISA was used on political opponents. This is a factual statement as only Barisan Sosialis and other Opposition party members were held under ISA. Unless if TT can show that PAP member was also detained under ISA, there is nothing much TT can do..In any case, what has TJS comment on ISA, a statute, got to do with TT PERSONALLY..TT still trying to apply the old school thuggish tactics of the PAP..sorry it doesn't work nowadays..Remember James Gomez in GE2006?? GCT try same tactic but the people and not the 60.1% peasants got pissed off and the powers that be decided to drop the issue..so my 2cents worth..I don think TT will want to sue TJS..oso if want to sue, must seek permission from the Father, Son and Holy Goh...:oIo:
