Award-winning Japanese actress Yuko Takeuchi has been found dead at her Tokyo home at the age of 40.
Police have launched an investigation and suspect the mother of two took her own life, media reports say.
She is said to have been found by her actor husband Taiki Nakabayashi at their home in Shibuya Ward. Her death was confirmed at hospital.
Ms Takeuchi was a well-known actress in Japan, having appeared in many films and TV series during her career.
She played a female Sherlock Holmes in the 2018 HBO series Miss Sherlock, which was broadcast in several countries including the US.
She also won best actress in a leading role category three years in a row, between 2004 and 2007, in the Japanese Academy Awards.
Along with her long list of acting credits, Ms Takeuchi's warm, smiling, woman-of-the-people image made her popular with advertisers, Variety Magazine reports.
Although suicide has not been confirmed in Ms Takeuchi's case, it has been the cause of death for a number of Japanese talents recently, including the actress Sei Ashina earlier this month, actor Haruma Miura in July and wrestling star Hana Kimura in May.
Japan has one of the highest suicide rates in the world although figures have dropped since preventative measures were introduced in 2015, according to the World Health Organization.

Because at some point in life whether you are too wealthy or poverty stricken , the purpose in your life and the reality becomes blurred ...eg Michael Jackson or Elvis , in their heart they are still an ordinary folks but millions of people worship them , why that should be cannot be fathomed ...akin to emperors of yesterday ...at their whims and fancies lies lives of others , at some point they too look for justification ... that’s where the Hindu philosophy comes in handy , it’s their god given rights or gods incarnated to kings and emperors ..hence they justified

unfortunately today’s rich and famous lacks that justification

Chris Cornell (lead singer of Soundgarden and Audioslave) hung himself in 2017. He was one of the Titans of my generation of bands. Truly a big loss to the musical world.

Depression is no joke .. it comes and goes into a person's life like a ghost.

If a friend you know suddenly brings up suicide, please don't ignore it and brush it off. He/she could be hinting

Depression is the lost of connection to Source.

That blissful vibration, the natural life force of being alive, healthy and complete with a purpose or desires.

Failures are lessons, it’s a form of blessing too. It’s all about our perceptions.

Never say never, never give up and never lose hope...keep learning.

Seek and you shall find, give up and it dies...free will. :p. <3

Why people kill themselves- Part 2: It’s not depression

There is however one thing that nearly all people who die by suicide feel at the moment they pull that trigger, tie the knot around their neck, jump from that building, swallow those pills, step in front of that train. That one thing is des-pair.

Yes, des-pair*, not despair. Des-pair as in feeling unpaired with and without the reasons to live:

1. Hopeless — unpaired with a future that is worth living because all efforts to lessen pain (medications, therapy, etc.) have not worked

2. Helpless — unpaired with the ability to pull themselves out of it

3. Powerless — more of #2 above

4. Useless — unpaired with any solution or treatment that works or alternatively feeling that you contribute nothing to anyone and are only a burden (even if those people protest the opposite)

5. Worthless — ahh yes, unpaired with one of the key reasons for men to exist

6. Purposeless — unpaired with a mission for you to focus on and that gives you a source of pride, without which one can feel aimless and ashamed as in, “My life has no purpose.”

7. Meaningless — unpaired with what Victor Frankl was able to discover in a concentration camp and what one can feel when they have no purpose

8. Pointless — unpaired with any reason to not pull trigger, put the noose around your neck, jump from that building, take those pills, step onto those train tracks

These eight “-lesses” can collectively result in the pain that can no longer be endured, that when collectively felt cause people to pair with death as a way to make it go away by their going away.

According to PAssion card, it's probably due to a lack of the following four chemicals in your body.

Surprised the list omitted sex and extreme sports.

The list of caucasoids killings themselves at their prime is much much longer.

asians have far better mental resilience than Ang mohs.

do your homework first before displaying your ignorance.

Once had an employee who suffers from depression. Not just the typical complain about depression and self diagnose type. She had stayed in IMH before. It is not something normal folks can relate to. She will be fine in the morning, but in the afternoon, if you remind her of a project deadline, she will be so stressed that in her mind, it will constantly loop and she will have self doubt that she can’t perform.

More govt support needs to be given to these ppl.
