Why we can't adapt to the new iPhones?

Hundreds of thousands of loyal Apple customers are furious after the technology giant failed to
release adaptors needed for the new iPhone 5.

The highly anticipated gadget –which sold five million units worldwide during the first weekend of its
release on September 21 – has a new charging connector which is 80 per cent smaller than previous models.

The change means millions who rushed to buy the new phone at prices of up to $850 can no longer use
existing accessories such as music systems and car chargers until they get a new adaptor.

The new ‘Lightning’ dock adaptors are not expected to be available until mid-October at the earliest and
will also cost an extra $29.

The lack of availability is believed to be due to a delay in Apple’s certification process which industry experts
say could further hold back the release by months.

Also, Apple shared the specifications of its new model with many of its accessory-makers only after the
iPhone 5 was released in stores.

When de whole world ish calling for unification of connector and charger...Apple support tis with arms n legs by cumming out their own Lightning connector...dis is totally unnecessary n uncalled for...it serve nothing but to generate huge profit for them and screw the shit out of existing user...

With de chip found inside the connector...moi guess 1 of de function shd be digital to analog audio converter...LOD maker most likely wont be able to get hold of this chip...n no matter how you still nid the connector for connection to amp and device which oni accept analog signal...

With an estimated material cost at USD3.50...Apple is selling it to you at USD29...or SGD42...Song boh...
