Because of the time zone, you really aren't getting value for money by paying money to subscribe.

The primary target audience for The Peak consists of ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs) and corporate leaders.

Why they also need recommendations to watch World Cup for free?

Maybe doing so, is a good excuse to go KTVs during World Cup matches.

You hit the nail squarely on its head! How can a PMET who reports to the office at 8:30 am stay up to watch a 'live' game from 3 to 5 am? Why subscribe for 'live' games when working adults know we will not be able to watch most games in real time?

Rich CECA and Rich Tiong dun kick soccer de woh

Even rich also dont like to keep on paying and paying. Just like F1, it used to be inside the cable TV bundle till they took it out and if want to watch, need to pay additional. Greedy TV stations.

Anyone with an above average IQ won't want to watch that garbage in the first place.

F1 is garbage too. A go Kart race is far more entertaining.

instead of watching live in sg due to ungodly hours, can just watch highlights on youtube for every match leisurely the next morning.

It’s not even free. Please la, you go to those expat football bars, u think they will allow u to sit there and watch without ordering anything? Lol

That is what practical working S'poreans will do. I used to subscribe to past World Cup tournaments through StarHub or SingTel, but ended up watching less than 1/4 of the games 'live' owing to the time difference. I caught the previous morning's matches through the highlights program or the full coverage after I already knew the results. It was a pure waste of money since the YouTube highlights are free.

Aiya watch live vs delayed got difference meh?
Most football fans who watch the game 'live' are punters. There are others who watch the games on the following day w/o knowing the results, but I have too many "helpful" friends who WhatsApp me the final scores at the crack of dawn.
