去年連續發生多起故障意外的新加坡地鐵，昨天再度出包。一輛列車停靠在布萊德地鐵站時，車底突然冒出大量白煙，站內數百人緊急疏散。

這起意外發生在昨天(23日)下午1時47分，目擊者表示，列車快要抵達布萊德地鐵站時，門縫邊就快速滲入大量白煙，十分嗆鼻，列車一到站，車廂內乘客就爭先逃出列車，場面相當混亂。目前仍在調查故障原因。

well, just a small hiccup for mrt, no need to appear on taiwan apple newspaper, my favourite taiwan paper, sold out before noon, everyday.

even with mrt down, we have buses and taxi.

apple daily is doing us a favour. where else but on foreign media can u read about whats really happening in sinkieland. anyway their subway system is much much better. once u try their subway u will see straightaway.

I was thinking for a long time when the rest of the countries will hit back. Looks like Taiwan is starting.

Lets see some of the fav local media topics used for comparison:
- cleanliness
- per capita earning
- joblessness
- natural disasters including sinkholes, landslides
- building disasters
- airlines
- lately the happiness index
- Public transport efficiency
- Home ownership and costs
- Crime statistics
- Vehicle accident rate
etc etc

Fortunately this worked well in the time when papers and tv were peoples main source of info. Fast forward to today, with internet, its too easy for people to get the real facts and the ability to weave the web is fading fast.

I was reading another thread on Karma. Can consider that what is happening in Spore is a slap in the old one's face. Things are unravelling here & the gov't is not very popular. They have to resort to tools like the IB to put a positive spin on all their honest mistakes.
