He nicked four cans of abalone from a supermarket at*Jurong*Gateway shopping mall.

The estimated value of the shellfish: $190.68.

Police officers from Jurong East Neighbourhood Police Centre's (NPC) Crime Strike Force (CSF) conducted investigations after receiving reports of the theft from a Cold Storage supermarket.

With the help of CCTV footage, they arrested a 62-year-old man at Jurong East on Tuesday (Feb 3) afternoon.

He will be*charged today (Feb 4).

He can be jailed up to seven years and/ or*fined for the offence.
