Chitchat Why now every bto also vinyl flooring?

what shit are you talking? no scratches on mine lah after 30 years. laminate is so hard on the surface that dropping knives and sharp edged objects won’t cause any scratch. if yours have scratches it’s either vinyl or something else like hardwood, ceramic or marble. laminate is not supposed to get scratches unless you forcefully damage it with a power tool.
I thought they looked the same.
Mine was vinyl cheapo kind.

Mine was sticked lah.
Screwing one is a later and more expensive product as it won't peel upwards.
wtf is that? if it peels and bends the install is truly fucked up. if it’s “expensive” as you claim, twice as fucked up as it’s a rip off.

Probably becos of facing sunlight lor.
That's why my mum was paranoid and always need to close window and blind.
any indoor flooring sexposed to direct afternoon sunlight will degrade over time. my 36.9 year old laminate flooring is sexposed to afternoon sunlight in a corner section but remains in good condition. most likely due to great installation with good foam sealant backer rod for sexpansion and contraction due to temp changes. no warping no peeling. temp in summer can reach 96.9 f. your flooring product must be cheap shit made in tiongcock.

Lesson learnt is that not every bto can withstand vinyl for long. Average only about 10+year's if the flat has large portion of facing afternoon sun.

Back in the day only the poor folks use vinyl flooring. If your house got ‘Chia Cho’ that means you are low SES. Only a notch higher class than the dirt poor who got original cement flooring
Now, all BTO comes with concrete floor. I would just use epoxy and give it that polished look. Can do it yourself too. I wouldn't waste an extra penny on a fucking flat
