I felt very disturbed after reading this article from TRE --> LINK

Why ICA go through such great length to follow up on Citizenship application? Somemore called this guy's office to look for him. It's practically like begging him to be citizen.
Why must degrade our country, our citizenship, until like that? Why? Why? Why???

Another example of PRs don’t want to be citizens
August 18th, 2012 | Author: Editorial

In one of the popular forum sites, Sgchinese.net, where PRCs in Singapore usually go to, one PR from PRC posted a message yesterday (17 Aug) asking for advice from his compatriots.

The PRC who goes by the moniker, ‘allgreen’, asked how to go about withdrawing his Singapore citizenship application from ICA:

http://bbs.sgchinese.net/thread-5769528-1-1.html

sc01.jpg

He said he submitted his citizenship application in Apr. However, he now felt that due to a number of reasons, he did not want to give up his China citizenship. The ICA has already called him twice to ask him to furnish further documents to complete his application. He thought that he could simply refuse to send the documents and let ICA reject him. But that would mean ICA will be calling him incessantly. He then thought of going to ICA’s website to do the withdrawal but he said he couldn’t find his record. Hence, he is asking for ideas from his compatriots on how to withdraw his citizenship application.

In the last sentence, he asked the most important question: if he withdrew his citizenship application from ICA now, would it affect his future PR renewals?

Other PRCs have joined in the discussion:
QQTGIRL: 需书面申请CANCEL (need to write in to cancel)

good99: 你就不补呗,脸皮厚点,电话不开,哈哈 (then don’t furnish the documents lah, need to be thick-skin, don’t turn on your handphone, ha ha)

allgreen: 我不想补,也没接电话,他们就打到公司找我。哎。(allgreen said: I didn’t want to furnish the documents, also didn’t pick up the calls, but they called my company to look for me… alamak…)

One of the objectives of giving PR status to deserving foreigners is so that it will provide a transition for them to eventually take the final step to become a Singapore citizen. In a way, it’s for the foreigners to “try out” first before deciding to become a full-fledged Singapore citizen.

Clearly, in this case, the PRC has no intention or whatsoever to want to become a Singapore citizen. In this case, the Govt may want to think about withdrawing PR status from such kind of foreigners. Giving him an Employment Pass would still allow him to work in Singapore. There is no need for Singapore to bend its back so as to cater to this sort of foreigners.

It's a numbers game....
Pappies know sinkies are ingrates and next elections no matter how much good they do, spoilt brat sinkies will betray them and more will join the 39.1%....
Gerrymandering and handouts before GE can only do that much to stem this flow.
So the master plan final solution is to replace as many as these ungrateful sinkies ASAP.
Mencenary FTs share the same vision as pappies....they are the future of this country.

bwahahahahahahaa... resistance is futile! me noted that some new citizen lamented that Sinkiestan is fast becoming like their home country, so really no point in converting to Sinkiestan citizenship :p:p:p
